Oral
Presentations
The invited oral
presentations are allocated 20 minutes for the talk plus 5 minutes
for questions and discussion. The session chairmen will enforce these time
limits to ensure that the conference program stays on schedule, A useful rule of
thumb is to allot one minute for each slide prepared for the talk.
Both an LCD projector
and an overhead projector will be available for the presentations. However, in
case of a problem connecting a laptop to the LCD projector, the presenters
are strongly encouraged to bring transparencies as a backup.
Poster Presentations
The poster board
size is 4" (1.2m) high by 8" (2.4m) wide. The size of the poster
materials should be easily read at a distance of a few meters. The title and the
list of authors, along with the addresses and affiliations, should be printed in
large, block letters. Small, poorly prepared graphs and tables require readers
to stand close to the poster, blocking the view of the presentation form the
attendees. A few oversized graphs and tables with concise captions will catch
the attention of the viewer who can then be engaged in more detailed discussion.
Presenters should
arrive at least 10 minutes ahead of the schedule to arrange their posters and be
sure necessary supplies are present. One or more registered conference
participants (the authors and his/her representative) must be present at the
poster for a substantial part of the session.
All poster material
must be removed promptly at the end of the session.
